Answer: Tantrums are short periods of angry outbursts involving crying or shouting. They are extremely common and a normal part of your child's development! Support your child by trying to understand what they are feeling - are they perhaps tired or hungry? Try to distract your child by changing the activity or the enviornment they are in when the tantrum occurs. Don't panic and don't give in. Praise positive behaviour and offer them independent choices to prevent tantrums in the future.
