Q: Is saying 'No' a lot to a child bad for him?

Answer: If you say 'No' too frequently, it may stop to effect your child, and he may start ignoring it. Try to use more positive language instead. For example, instead of saying 'Don't go in the kitchen when I am cooking', you might say, 'Why don't you go to the lounge and play with your blocks?'. Also, when chid is about to do something unsafe, just try to distract him into something else which may be fascinating.
